Ban Gioc Waterfall

Ban Gioc Waterfall in Cao Bang province is located on the border between Vietnam and China. White cascade between green spaces and majestic create a picturesque scene. The main section is about 100 m wide, 70 meters high and 60 meters deep. From a distance, it looks like a white silk falling down.

This is one of the most majestic scenic spots of Vietnam and the world's 4th largest waterfall among the waterfalls located on the border between the countries, after Niagra (Canada - US), Victoria (Zambia - Zimbabwe) and Iguazu (Brazil - Argentina).

Dray Nur waterfall

Located about 25 km from Buon Me Thuot city towards the Highway 14, pass through the hydroelectric Buon Kop nearly 3 km, this is a gorgeous waterfall that the Mother Nature gives to Dak Lak as a present. Dray Nur waterfall mean “Female falls” or “ Wife Falls” associated with the love story "Romeo and Juliet" of the mountains.

Legend has it that, once upon a time, there was a young couple in love impassionedly, but because of conflict between the two villages, they were prohibited. On a moonlit night, they jumped into the river to be together forever. Angry at the villagers’ selfishness which led to the death of the young couple, the God made a great thunderstorm, water raised high, the river was divided into two branches, separating the path of two villages. 

The water line from vertical cliffs broke out every drop like the tears for the young couple. Dray Nur waterfall is an ideal location for those who want to explore unspoiled nature and mystery of the sunny and windy highland.

Pongour waterfall

It also called Seven-storey waterfall - the famous dreamily wild beautiful waterfall of the South of the Central Highlands in Duc Trong district, 20 km from the district capital, and 50 km from the center of Da Lat city.

Pongour falls is associated with the heroic legends of the ethnic K'ho. Legend has it that, in the ancient times, the land was ruled by a beautiful female K'ho chieftain named Kanai. She conquered the beasts, created favourable conditions for the benefit of the people. She had four large rhinos which always obeyed her. They helped move the mountains, separated streams, exploited the soil and protected the villagers.

In a full moon day in January, she passed away. The four rhinos stayed with her always and did not leave her, did not eat until death. Not long after that, a stunningly beautiful waterfall appeared in her resting place. The hair of Kanai turned into a white, clear, cool water; and the great mossy green rocks serving as a base for the waterfall are the horns of rhinos. It is the symbol of unity and eternal bond between man and nature.

Annually on the full moon day of the 1st month of lunar year, the Spring Festival is held, also the place for everyone to meet each other and attend in folk games, attracting numerous tourists to visit.
