Ban Gioc Waterfall is located in Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, about 90 km from Cao Bang city and nearly 400 km from Hanoi. Come to Ban Gioc waterfall, from a distance, you can hear the waterfall’s sound. From the height of over 30 m, large blocks of water flow down through several steps of limestone. Between the waterfall is a large stone covered with trees cut the stream into 3 streams as three white silks.

Visiting Ban Gioc Falls at any time of year makes you happy because it is beautiful almost year round. The rainy season in the Ban Gioc waterfall lasts from June to September. This is the time when the waterfall is at its best - threatening but also extremely majestic. October to May is the dry season, the water is warmer, more peaceful, the road to Ban Gioc is also easier to travel.

The water in the Ban Gioc waterfall pours down day and night, making flat stones and surrounding area covered with countless white dust. On sunny days, the vapour also creates sparkling fanciful rainbow. At the foot of Ban Gioc waterfall, the river surface is wide and flat like a mirror. The two sides are the grass carpet and green forest.
In addition, the winding road leading to the waterfall Ban Gioc is very picturesque with fresh air, so visitors can admire the poetic countryside scenery of the mountainous area.

 - Ban Gioc Waterfall is about 370 km from Hanoi, allowing you to choose from a variety of transportation options. With cars, if you go early in the morning, you can come in the afternoon. However, it is still interesting to go by motorbike to stop at many other scenic spots along the way.
 - If traveling by motorbike or car, you will run on one of two roads: National Highway No. 3 (Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Bac Kan - Cao Bang) and national highways 1A (Hanoi - Lang Son) and then take Highway 4A (Lang Son - Cao Bang). From Cao Bang city, you will have to continue to go nearly 90km northeast through Trung Khanh commune to Ban Gioc waterfall.

 - If you travel by car, you can find the bus running from Hanoi to Cao Bang at My Dinh bus station of some reputable transportation companies such as Mai Luy, Thanh Ly, Hien Loi, Khoa Man… Prices is about 170,000 - 200,000 VND (7-8 USD)/ person / way.
 - From Cao Bang bus station, you continue to take the bus Cao Bang – Trung Khanh - Ban Gioc waterfall, operated by Thanh Luan company or bus 03 (Cao Bang - Quang Uyen) and bus 07 (Quang Uyen - Trung Khanh). All of them stop at the front gate of Ban Gioc. You should pay attention to arranging sightseeing time to avoid missing the last bus back to the city center (15h30 for coaches and 16h50 for bus). The cost for this trip is about 70,000 VND (2,8 USD) / person / way.

 - If moving by personal vehicles (motorbikes, cars), safety should be ensured: brakes, tires, chains ... Bring all necessary documents. You should carry some common tools used to repair vehicles because the road from Cao Bang to Ban Gioc is difficult to go.
- Admission fee to Ban Gioc waterfall is 20,000 VND (0.8 USD)/ adult and 10,000 VND (0.4 USD)/ child. In addition, if you want to take a boat to the waterfall to visit, it costs 50,000 VND (2 USD)/ person.
